| Norma Cother joined NSW Agriculture in 1997 as
the Technical Officer in the Herbarium where she is responsible for the
maintenance of the living culture collections. She graduated from the Australian
National University with Honours in endocrinology and an interest in marsupial
reproduction. She commenced work with NSW Agriculture at Leeton Research
Station, developing embryo transfer techniques for sheep and goats. She
then worked as a teacher, herd recorder and embryologist while developing
her interest in pottery into a business. In 1989 she moved with her family
to Orange where she managed The Orange Agricultural College laboratory
(now the Orange campus of the University of Sydney). Norma became involved
in the Land Management Course at the College as a part time lecturer and
tutor. |
