Dr Michael Priest Senior Plant Pathologist Curator Herb-DAR
Michael graduated from the University of Tasmania
in 1981 with B.Sc. (Honours) in mycology and received his PhD from the
University of New England in 1999. He joined NSW Agriculture in 1982 as
assistant curator of the Plant Pathology Herbarium and fungal taxonomist
located at BCRI, Rydalmere. In 1990 Michael became the curator of the herbarium
on the retirement of Mr John Walker. Research interests include the taxonomy
of the fungal genera Albugo and Septoria. Michael is currently
the Secretary of the Agricultural Scientific Collections Trust.
