Bucktoniella Evans 1966: 298; Day 1999: 655

Type species: Acanthucus [sic] pyramidatus Funkhouser 1927, by original designation

Known species: Only the type species is known.

Distribution: NSW, Vic, Tas.

Comments: This robust squat species (6.5-7.5mm total length) has the lateral pronotal processes set back from the front of the pronotum which therefore seems to bulge anteriorly. The pronotum and the forewings, particularly over the basal region, bear prominent erect setae. The median posterior process is surmounted by a prominent ridge.
