Genus Rhotidus Walker 1862: 318
Type species: Rhotidus cuneatus Walker, by monotypy

Known species: Three species are known from southern and eastern Australia. 

Comments: The arrow-shaped crown of the head meeting the face at an acute angle immediately distinguishes species of Rhotidus from other thymbrines.
