Many of the genera included in this key
are differentiated primarily on characters of the male genitalia. Evans (1966), which this
key follows, attempted to create a generic key based on external features for ease of use.
Confirmation of generic identifications may therefore need to be undertaken by examining
the genitalia. There is also some doubt about the validity of some genera, particularly in
the Ipoides group. |
