Type species: Thaumantia celebensis Melichar 1914, by original designation (Indonesia: Sulawesi)

Known species: Six species in Malaysia, Indonesia and the western Pacific with one, T. straminea, distributed from Malaysia to Australia.

Comments: This genus is unknown to the author of these pages although the characters given in the key by Fennah (1956) indicate that it is reasonably distinctive.
