Type species: Taxila granulata Stål, by original designation (Kirkaldy 1901)

Known species: A dozen.species are known distributed between the Philippines and China with a single species, K. granulata, in the Philippines and Christmas Island.

Comments: The occurrence of K. granulata on Christmas Island is somewhat anomalous with the distribution of the genus generally and the species in particular. Further collections in S.E. Asia, particularly those parts of Indonesia closest to Christmas Island, will determine whether the species is likely to have been introduced to the island or if its presence there represents the southern limit of a more widely distributed species than the current records show.
