Muir
1931: 74
Type species: Kallitambinia australis Muir, by monotypy Known species: Only the type species is known. Comments: K. australis is distributed along the eastern coast of Australia on mangroves. Fletcher (1979a) provides details of the life history and Fletcher (1981) gives comprehensive descriptions of the adults and nymphs. The nymphs have a fan of very long fine filaments attached to the apex of the abdomen and wave this over the body when disturbed. The tegmen has a distinct nodal line of crossveins with the apical membrane being more transparent and finer in texture than the corium and clavus.
