Australia has some delightful tropiduchids, Tambinia venusta and Kallitambinia australis being typical. Fletcher (1981) described the morphology of K. australis and Fletcher (1979a) gave details of the life history of the same species. The tribe Trypetimorphini is represented in Australia by two species of Trypetimorpha. Gnezdilov (2007) transfered the Gaetuliini from Nogodinidae to Tropiduchidae which brought most of the lacy winged forms into the one family. Included in the Gaetuliini are two species of Alleloplasis which have the tegmina elongate and extremely narrow, although still with clear cells between the veins. Most tropiduchids are forest dwelling species although Kallitambina australis Muir is associated with mangroves and Alleloplasis spp are found in arid areas of western and southern Australia. [update: 5.viii.2007]

The Indonesian tropiduchid fauna consists primarily of Tribe Tropiduchini. [update: 2.iv.2003]
