Type species: Rhinochloris acutirostris Emeljanov 2005, by original designation

Known species: The genus is based on a single female specimen (the holotype of the type species). Further specimens of the type species, and several undescribed species, exist in Australian collections.

Distribution: The holotype is from N. Queensland and most specimens of the genus in Australian collections originate from Queensland. However, several specimens of an undescribed species have been collected in northern New South Wales. 

Comments: The genus is easily separated from other genera within the Achilini by the presence of 3-4 tibial spines on the hind leg (compared to the single spine on all other genera) and the shape of the head. In the type species the head forms a distinct anterior horn. However, in a second, undescribed, species the vertex is less prominently extended anteriorly. In addition, the pronotum projects anteriorly level to the anterior edge of the eyes.
