Subfamily/Tribe: Deltocephalinae: Deltocephalini 

Distribution: NSW, Vic, PNG, NZ, Hawaii, Fiji and Guam? There is doubt whether the species in Guam is conspecific (Day and Fletcher 1994). 

Economic Status: Very common on several grass species 

Notes: R. hospes normally has extensive brown markings particularly on the tegmen which has each cell outlined with dark brown. This colouration, however, is variable and reliable determinations require examination of the male genitalia.
