Common Name: Cotton Leafhopper

Subfamily/Tribe: Typhlocybinae: Empoascini

Distribution: Qld, NSW

Economic Status: A common species on cotton. Its impact economically is intermittent.

Notes: This species is superficially very similar to Austroasca viridigrisea, the vegetable leafhopper. These two species can be differentiated reasonably reliably by the general colour and by the presence of a brownish spot in the cubital area of the tegmen in A. terraereginae.
