Common Name: none

Subfamily/Tribe: Typhlocybinae: Dikraneurini

Economic Status: Associated with the myrtaceous genus Eucalyptus. Individual species, particularly of the genus Kahaono Kirkaldy are often found in enormous numbers on a single tree causing noticeable leaf mottling and producing a rain of honeydew on which sooty moulds grow.

Notes: Australia has a very distinctive dikraneurine fauna with three described and two undescribed genera all associated with Eucalyptus. The Australian species are typically flattened dorsoventrally with flat faces and antennae that are attached near the front of the head. Many species are brightly coloured with colour patterns that are diagnostic for the species.
