Generic distribution: NSW (Lord Howe Island), NZ (Three Kings Island) Australian species: Two species are recorded from Australia, both restricted to Lord Howe Island. They are B. fasciata (Evans) and B. pallida (Evans). The type species is restricted to Three Kings Island. Comments: The two Australian species can be separated by the presence of dark markings in B. fasciata while B. pallida is entirely pale brown in colour. Both Australian species differ from B. bullata by lacking any dark markings on the head and body. |
